Hey there, dessert lovers! I'm Shannon — the baker and sprinkle-slinger behind SweetConfectShan. Today, I am absolutely thrilled to kick off this blog and share my love for baking with you. The Sweet Beginning

Every story has a starting point, and mine began in my parents’ kitchen — usually with flour in my hair and frosting on my fingers. I was always the kid who wanted to help stir the bowl, sneak a taste, and, of course, claim the spatula.

For me, baking has never just been about the recipe — it’s about creating little moments of joy and comfort. There’s something magical about turning a few simple ingredients into something that makes people smile.

That love (plus a whole lot of butter) led me to study Baking & Pastry Arts at Johnson & Wales and eventually start SweetConfectShan — where I get to bring your sweet ideas to life and share mine along the way.
